The Rainy Lake Nordic Ski Club is a not-for-profit organization. The trails are located in Northwestern Ontario just outside of Fort Frances and are open to the public. The trails cover 15 km of groomed skate and classic tracks which were first opened for use in 2002. The building of this trail system was made possible with permission from the MRN and funding from the Trillium Foundation and Abitibi Consolidated. (Special thanks goes to Cam Moorhouse for his contributions to this club.)

In the fall of 2006 a chalet was built by the club members. This project was made possible with generous donations of materials, cash and labor from local families and businesses. This addition to the club will provide a shelter for skiers as well as a place to hold ski events and social gatherings for trail users.
